Integrative Counselling in Reading & Online Across the UK
Online and in-person counselling in Reading for anyone aged 16+ struggling with shame, low self-worth, people-pleasing or the lasting impact of emotional neglect.
Perhaps you've spent years trying to be who everyone else needed you to be.
You might put other people first, apologise for taking up space, overthink every interaction or feel like you're never quite enough.
Maybe you've learned to hide parts of yourself to feel accepted. This could be because of your family experiences, your identity or the environments you've grown up in. These patterns once helped you cope. But they can also leave you feeling anxious, disconnected and unsure who you really are.
Therapy offers a space where you don't have to perform, explain or earn acceptance. Together, we can begin understanding these patterns with curiosity and compassion.

What It Is Like To Work With Me
I won't tell you who you should be.
Together we'll gently explore how your experiences have shaped the way you relate to yourself and others.
Therapy with me is:
• warm and collaborative
• affirming of all identities
• curious rather than judgemental
• paced around what feels safe for you
• focused on helping you build a kinder relationship with yourself
My aim isn't to help you become someone different, it's to help you feel more able to be yourself.
How Counselling Helps
Sometimes we develop ways of coping that helped us survive difficult experiences, but no longer feel helpful in our day-to-day lives. Therapy can help you explore these patterns with compassion and curiosity, allowing space for meaningful change.
Together, we can work towards:
-
Understanding your thoughts, feelings, and patterns more clearly
-
Building self-esteem and self-trust
-
Improving relationships and boundaries
-
Processing difficult experiences safely
-
Feeling more connected to yourself and your needs
Reaching out for therapy can feel difficult, especially when you’re already carrying a lot emotionally. You do not need to know exactly what to say.
